 HydropowerAdditional InformationHydropower Hydropower is energy created by flowing water, and is another source of renewable energy available to Iowans. While the Iowa Energy Center doesn’t currently perform or support research in hydropower technologies, the Energy Center encourages the development of hydropower facilities through the Alternate Energy Revolving Loan Program. Information on hydropower can be found at the Idaho National Engineering & Environmental laboratory’s U.S. Department of Energy Hydropower Program Web site. |
