Project Objectives:

The objectives of this project consist of four primary elements, namely to 1.) compare energy costs/consumption for residential GCHPs versus conventional systems, in Iowa, 2.) compare energy costs/consumption for GCHPs for vertical versus horizontal closed-loop systems, 3.) establish and ensure best practices for GCHP installations suitable for Iowa, and 4.) inform and educate constituents on energy efficiency, energy conservation and energy cost saving associated with GCHPs.
