The Biorefinery Concept

Ultimately, the projects at BECON will function as a biorefinery, one relying on the other minimizing waste and using as much of the biomass feedstocks as possible to produce as many products as we can – a closed loop system.

A biorefinery would take the feedstocks Iowa has and produce what is economically viable at that time, benefiting Iowa’s economy.
