Ethanol Information
Ethanol,
a renewable fuel made from agricultural feedstocks, provides
environmental, economic and energy benefits to Iowa and the
United States. Used by many drivers, ethanol helps fight air
pollution by lowering greenhouse gas and carbon monoxide emissions.
It also helps reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil. For more
