About the Conference
The Iowa Energy Center is pleased to offer the 2008 Energy Educators of Iowa Conference, bringing teachers together to learn how to incorporate energy programs into their classroom and extracurricular activities. NEED’s training team, with the support and participation of select NEED trained educators in Iowa, will provide participants the opportunity to see local energy facilities first-hand, learn more about Iowa’s energy picture, and receive the training and tools necessary to integrate energy into their classroom plans and educational goals.

  • Renewable and nonrenewable energy resources, their development, use and impact on economics and environment
  • Generation and transmission of electricity
  • Development and use of transportation fuels

  • Network with other educators to exchange best practices ideas and curriculum plans
  • Participate in field experiences with local energy experts at energy facilities
