TAA Project Goal
The Iowa Energy Center, as the principal sponsor of the TAA project, has established and is committed to the following project goal:
Improving the economic viability, competitiveness and profitability of Iowa's industrial base through:
- Energy efficiency and management practices
- Appropriate or state-of-the-art management and technology applications
- Enhanced waste reduction projects.
The TAA project goal is achieved through a holistic assessment of the company's facilities, including it's process(es), using expertise from the fields of industrial productivity, energy efficiency, and waste reduction to collectively meet the objectives listed below.
- Partner the combined resources of the academic, governmental, energy supply groups, private consultants and industrial communities to synergistically improve the productivity and competitiveness of the company.
- Reduce the company's dependence on energy.
- Reduce the waste stream created by the company during the manufacturing process(es).
