Energy Resource Station

A variety of educational opportunities are available at the ERS. There are training sessions for architects and design engineers relating to the proper selection, application and control of HVAC equipment. Computer-generated simulations are performed and used as educational tools. Training programs are also provided for building operators to help them achieve the full energy savings potential of new HVAC systems and controls.

The facilities at the ERS are used by the educational programs at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to train future generations of HVAC technicians.

Conference Facility and Tours
The ERS is available for conferences and tours. Energy-related groups are invited to hold meetings and conferences at the site. Individual tours are available, just contact the ERS staff. For larger meetings, the adjacent DMACC Conference Center has a 350-seat auditorium, a variety of meeting rooms and catering services.
